DERMOBAN OINTMENT is for external use only. Do not share medicines prescribed for you with any other person. Always use DERMOBAN OINTMENT exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. Check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure.
- Adults and children older than 2 months: Apply 2 – 3 times a day to the affected area for up to 10 days.
- Before applying, wash the affected area and dry thoroughly.
- Apply a small quantity of DERMOBAN OINTMENT to cover the affected area.
- You can cover the treated area with a gauze dressing.
- Continue to apply for the full period of time as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist, even if the infection seemed to clear up.
- Do not mix DERMOBAN OINTMENT with any other medicine as this may reduce the effectiveness of the DERMOBAN OINTMENT.
Your healthcare provider will tell you how long your treatment with DERMOBAN OINTMENT will last. Do not use for longer than 10 days.
If you have the impression that the effect of DERMOBAN OINTMENT is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
If you use more DERMOBAN OINTMENT than you should
Carefully wipe off the extra ointment. Do not use more of DERMOBAN OINTMENT than prescribed or for longer periods than prescribed, it may cause the bacteria to become resistant against DERMOBAN OINTMENT.
If you forget to use DERMOBAN OINTMENT
Apply DERMOBAN OINTMENT as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed application and apply at the usual time. Do not apply a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.
If you stop using DERMOBAN OINTMENT
If you stop using DERMOBAN OINTMENT too early, not all of the germs (bacteria) causing your skin infection may have been killed. Your infection may come back. Use DERMOBAN OINTMENT for as long as directed by your healthcare provider. If you have any further questions on the use of DERMOBAN OINTMENT, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
