NETVODY contains vasopressin – a polypeptide hormone. It is an 'antidiuretic' which helps to prevent excess loss of water in your urine and narrows some blood vessels in the body.
NETVODY is indicated to increase blood pressure in adults with vasodilatory shock who continue to have decreased blood pressure despite fluids and catecholamines.
Do not receive NETVODY
Tell your doctor or health care provider before being given NETVODY:
Always tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary or traditional medicines).
• Catecholamines such as - dopamine, norepinephrine (nor adrenaline), and epinephrine (adrenaline) –may result in an additional increase of blood pressure and heart rate, Your doctor may adjust the dosage of NETVODY while monitoring your blood pressure.
• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Indomethacin may prolong the effect of NETVODY leading to greater pumping of the blood by the heart and increase in the resistance to blood flow.
• The ganglionic blocking agent tetra-ethyl ammonium increases the effect of NETVODY by 20 % in healthy individuals - Your doctor may adjust the dosage of NETVODY while monitoring your blood pressure.
• Antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), tricyclic antidepressants, and other medicines like haloperidol, chlorpropamide, enalapril, methyldopa, pentamidine, vincristine, cyclophosphamide, ifosfamide, felbamate may increase the effects of NETVODY on narrowing blood vessels and increasing blood pressure, as well as controlling urine output. Your doctor may adjust the dosage of NETVODY while monitoring your blood NETVODY.
• Certain medicines like demeclocycline, lithium, foscarnet, clozapine may decrease the effect of NETVODY; your doctor will monitor the same and adjust the dose of NETVODY accordingly.

NETVODY may produce contraction of uterine muscle that could threaten the continuation of pregnancy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other health care provider for advice before taking NETVODY.
Route of administration - Parenteral Injection
You will not be expected to give yourself NETVODY. It will be given to you by a person who is qualified to do so.
If you receive more NETVODY than you should
Since a health care provider will administer NETVODY, he / she will control the dosage. However, in the event of overdosage your doctor will manage the overdosage.
If you forget to take NETVODY
Since a health care provider will administer NETVODY, it is unlikely that the dose will be missed.
NETVODY can have side effects.
Not all side effects reported for NETVODY are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any untoward effects while taking NETVODY, please consult your health care provider for advice.
If any of the following happens, stop taking NETVODY and tell your doctor immediately or go to the casualty department at your nearest hospital:

Ideal Storage: Store between 2 °C and 8 °C (36 °F and 46 °F). Do not freeze.
Shelf life of the product is 24 months when stored at 2 to 8°C from the date of manufacturing.
Vials may be held up to 6 months upon removal from refrigeration to room temperature storage conditions (20 °C to 25 °C [68 °F to 77 °F], USP – United States Pharmacopeia Controlled Room Temperature), anytime within the labelled shelf life. Once removed from refrigeration, unopened vial should be marked to indicate the revised 6-months expiration date. If the manufacturer’s original expiration date is shorter than the revised expiration date, then the shorter date must be used. Do not use NETVODY, beyond the manufacturer’s expiration date stamped on the vial.
