VENLAFAXINE XR BIOTECH capsules contain venlafaxine as active ingredient in quantities of either 37,5 mg, 75 mg or 150 mg per capsule. VENLAFAXINE XR BIOTECH is an antidepressant and one of a group of medicines known as serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. Serotonin and norepinephrine are chemical messengers (hormones) in your brain. People that suffer from depression or anxiety usually have lower levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. VENLAFAXINE XR BIOTECH may help to increase the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in your brain. VENLAFAXINE XR BIOTECH is therefore used in the treatment of depression, including depression with associated anxiety, as well as generalised anxiety (anxiety and uncontrollable worry for several months) and social anxiety disorder (worry about social situations which can cause you severe anxiety and distress).
